Congratulations team! It's great to see the mod go in a new direction! The video style is definitely different from Didgeridoomen's, but presents the features more explicitly and the graphics give off a different kind of charm. Glad to see how the gameplay design requires more attention to detail now, especially the Tardis systems, dimensions and the mobs! I'm sure the players will love this update and it'll be a joy to play alongside other mods. (Inter-mod Tardis races, anyone? Haha) Hope you all take a good break, and enjoy the labours of your work. We know we did when we did our 1.14 rewrite all the way back in 2020. Excited to see what comes next! :)

I just want to thank everyone at the dalek mod for making my childhood memories when I played the game and watched your adventure videos, I sadly will never be able to play again due to me not having a pc anymore, so that's all I have to say thank you it's been a absolute honour to play this game 🙂

"As we see the wild Boog in his natural habitat, waiting for unsuspecting Tardis owners to take their time ship and fly away with.." The mod looks great so far, even if not all features aren't in the mod yet and love this team for making this mod and updating it still!

I'd completely overlooked the dimensional rifts, really nice feature! I keep meaning to take a proper deep dive into all of DM 1.16s TARDIS mechanics - other than the panels necessary for flight and basic customisation, I'm pretty clueless lol

I accidentally discovered that finger snapping feature when I kept forgetting that I don't have Optifine. And I always use Z for zoom in Optifine so yeah...and then I soon discovered that it can open up TARDIS doors too.

It’s cool to see a vanilla styled Tardis mod. I think it I’ve come up with a few nice additions: Being able to use the ~ in the /set-coords command would be quite handy. (Eg /set-coords ~ 60 ~10) Would adjust from your tardis’ position or set position. Also, not sure about the technicalities, but any command block support could be a tremendous selling point for some people. Thirdly, I think it would be great for the redstone community if controls released a redstone signal when used. That partnered with any command block support would be phenomenal. Lastly, if you’re familiar with 1.14+ commands. When using commands in chat, it highlights all the possible choices that can be “tabbed” into chat quickly. Typing Tardis commands would be much more fluent if players could “tab” them in whilst within the Tardis GUI or control select.

Heh...all we need now is a Martian Boss, many many structures on Mars, more Music Discs and this mod will be done lol.(we all know it's not going away anytime soon) I know you have soooo much planned for the future so feel free to add how many things you want. But I do feel like this mod is missing some furniture like I dunno...a couch? or Office desks? or something purely martian related? It's also kind of Ironic that I just got this mod just when it turned 1. So it took me a year to get it...😌

A new update for 1.16.5. A full trailer will come out early next month! I wonder what features you can already spot in this video. Sorry you haven't heard from us in a while. We've been active on our discord, but I (Matt) am not making a lot of Minecraft vids anymore. The upcoming story video will be done by a new team of devs and staff. This video was just made for internal use for developers, but it looked cool so I decided to upload it. Also, hugs to all the new people I met at the Gathering today, the Dutch Doctor Who convention!

Dalek Mod Update 64 | The Invasion Update

I really like how these invasions work to incentivise players to explore the various worlds on offer. Built a small room in a cave for sleeping in? They'll blow it up. Diamond materials not doing the job? Better go to other planets. Can't get to other planets? Gonna need a vortex manipulator. Still can't reach that one planet? Time to build a TARDIS! Can't open a steel door? Better make a sonic screwdriver. Sonic screwdriver not doing the job? Better level it up by exploring all of its features. Still having trouble killing the Daleks? To Skaro! While I admit I think it would make more sense for the vortex manipulator to be unable to reach Gallifrey and Skaro (with their Time War past, it adds a gameplay aspect to their respective histories; maybe they're shielded against less advanced forms of transportation? Also it makes it more vital for a player to find the more elusive materials to build a TARDIS if they want that late game content. Perhaps there could be materials on Gallifrey or Skaro that, once found, can then be added to a vortex manipulator to give it increased abilities?), I'm still very much thankful for the clear amount of time and effort you guys have put into this mod. On 30 October 2012, John released the very first Dalek Mod version. Now, 10 years later, we're doing a 5-part special to celebrate our Minecraft Doctor Who mod! The anniversary won't have an update this time, and due to certain restrictions, the movie was recorded in Minecraft 1.12.2.

I think I know why RedDash killed Mae. When he blew her up, you can see Redstone Circuits in the blood and once he kills her, he walks up to her remains and turned around looking sad as if he HAD to do it. Considering this update was partially about Cybermen, I have come to the conclusion that RedDash did it because Mae was half-converted by the Cyberman, which explains the circuits on her corpse. Then RedDash said "We don't have time, we have to get moving" suggesting that something is coming now Mae is dead. Why RedDash HAD to kill Mae and how he knows about this is still a mystery but no doubt has something to do with CYBERMEN!

This is the update that basically shot me in the heart and said: "Fuck you Jack! No more Pipe TARDIS for you on DMU and no more cool shit from the 1.12.2 version!" and I miss the 1.12.2 version... It had so much cool stuff that just was removed in the 1.16.5 shift! Please bring back the 1.12.2 version and continue working on it! PLEASE!!!
