it's impressive and insane but also, something about this seems like it was inevitable in hindsight. it's the perfect hermit prank. excessive, grindy, time consuming, aesthetically pleasing, and very temporary

Normal Hermitcrafters: build starter houses near spawn. Doc: Immediately builds a trading hall, before running 4000 blocks away to a swamp, where he imprisons a witch, kidnaps an entire village, rescues some allays and hijacks a raid, all to build an iron farm, bamboo farm, redstone farm, slime farm, cobblestone farm, all to build a self-sufficient piston crafter so he can get ready for his Day TWO plans.

That moment you realize Bdubs built a daytime tv court and not a real one is amazing. He magically goes from judge jury and executioner to Judge Judy and executioner.

Doc's grind is just a different kind of flavour. Grian fishing 2000 times to (not) get a mending book is a respectable grind, too. Doc on the other hand is more like: why do the work for 20 minutes when I can build a machine and automate it in just 6 hours? Doc, you are the kind of lazy that led humanity from using scythes to gps assisted combine harvesters.

You know what would be a real big ... move? Hooking yourself up to the postal network. You've got the redstone prowess, and the system is actually fairly simple anyways. And it'd give them a shock. Imagine you just send Etho and Tango a letter saying "Doc online." They know they didn't hook you up. They weren't even planning on it since you were so far away. But there's a message from the Goat, and a Goat stamp.. the surprise would be so worth it!

Scar is going for a Star Wars theme this season, so Doc seeking revenge can be the empire that strikes back.

I love how Doc is like "Hm, charging sand for wood is pretty weird, better prepare some good arguments." Completly forgetting he is talking to Joe Hills.

“They can be annoying, they can cover your base with dirt!” This is so wholesome hearing it right after the recent Imp and Skizz podcast, where Impulse said that covering of the Perimeter is what reignited the camaraderie and friendship angles of Hermitcraft instead of production values and algorithms.

I love how in the trial Bdubs was all impressed with Skizz's speech, but when Joe started rambling, you could hear his tone morph from curious to the emotional equivalent of "this could have been an email."

So I guess the "T" in G.O.A.T. stands for "Terrorize" this season
