if u delayed one of the house lights by a second or two it could look like more random and like different people reacting to the night at different times? i love the return to glory for this series btw, i love seeing these episodes pop up! :D

You should add life with animals. Towns have bustling animals, cats in windows, birds on rooftops, dogs protecting sheep and crops!

An idea for the redstone windows: Instead of daylight detectors, use eye blossoms! There are a couple cool benefits to using them: they don't need sky access, and they are actually slightly random, sometimes taking a bit of time to open up. It creates a really cool effect in city buildings, where you can see the windows lighting up at night, not all at once, but one after another at random.
