My headcannon is that the wandering trader is crossdimentional and teleports between our worlds hence access to resources not specific to that world type. Maybe theres a form of wandering trader elite culture and they all dwell in a collosal castle bazzar.

Most of them would even make sense lore-wise. Piglins are the only ones that would have to be cured in a different way. Mojang themselves said that they have a mythology team and keep things lore accurate. Piglins zombify because of the lack of nether fungal spores which they need to breathe. In Minecraft Dungeons, there is Piglin Merchant in the overworld that also has a small crimson growth around him and also carries nether wart with him. Piglins in Minecraft Legends have spore medics that spray spores on other piglins. In a minecraft movie (which is not canon but the idea is still there), they drink nether wart potions. Zombified piglins are also found in the nether, but in the places with the lack of spores.

I once made “The Church of the Holy Breable” where the people would pray to bread.
