man i hate it when rad goes and builds a better house in 100 days than ive built in 4000
This is by far one of the most underrated channels on YouTube. Barely even 1000 views for this masterpiece.
This series is like a blueprint for players looking to improve their gameplay. While it's only just getting started, it shows how to (in my opinion) how to set yourself up for success. You can't build a mega base without resources, so focus on that first and then you can do whatever you want! I absolutely love that you included links to all the farms, as well. You are taking us on this journey with you and I am so excited to see where this world goes!
Thanks everyone for all the positive comments and love on this video! I'm glad the restart is pretty universally loved so far. Let me answer a few common questions in case you're wondering: * The seed is 700077540. I don't normally give them out this early in a playthrough but I've beaten the dragon so not too much can be spoiled now. I'll find the trims with or without help. haha * If you're looking to see what I've done previously, check out the 1.19 Hardcore Playlist, the Twitch 2000 Days World Tour and then maybe my hoglin & froglight farms. That will cover your basic "binge Rad" needs. * The pagoda schematic is now available for free at https://radicalelder.info/shop/pagoda-schematic * YOU are, in fact, my favourite person to like & subscribe so far today. I hope the rest of your day is great! I do reply to EVERY comment but it may take me a little longer when they're coming in like they are at the moment. :)
I really love how you say the “why” after every step, really helps the new info stick. Plus it earned you a new subscriber!
Ok there is SO much here. This series is turning into something indispensable in terms of learning how to hard core. I know it probably wasn't intended to be that necessarily, but your explanations are so clear and that is more helpful than you know. Also your improvement in building and trees is really remarkable, and your farm know how and knowledge of general game mechs is really quite deep- dang boy! Maybe we start calling you "Professor Minecraft" lol Great job on this one, Gamer.
This has been an experience to watch this series, I’m in awe of the way you get so much done at such a fast pace. Also I appreciate the extra effort in making this 1000days video adding little extra comments rather than just replaying the episodes.
Love to see the storage built! Had a lot of fun working on that together, really happy how it turned out! Absolutely crazy to get this done before 1000 days still
Can't wait to see him conquer that ancient city
Make sure u use a stone button on de observer as the wooden one has a longer activation and the drops burn before they reach the hopper.
Bro holy crap this was an amazing start can't believe you did all that and didn't use creative once like the other youtubers do. Well done man <3
A few notes: - Yes the farm still works up through 1.21.5 but please check the description for changes and updates (especially the walls around the iron golems instead of iron bars) - Build the ENTIRE thing in a basalt delta. It's the #1 most common problem. - Do not change the floor to honey or mud as they aren't full blocks and it won't kill them. Second most common problem. - The easiest way to load up the farm is to put on leather boots, open up the glass just above the powdered snow, lead the frogs up a staircase to the opening, and walk over the snow to the other side of the farm where you have another opening waiting. You can walk directly over the snow but the frogs cannot so they will fall in. The leads will break and be collected into the storage system. This is by far the best way to move frogs into the farm. - Don't use the checkerboard pattern. Fill in the snow layer completely. I tried to cut 50% of the most annoying material to collect but it's not worth it. Some frogs can escape this way and it's annoying. - Using fewer frogs per layer is possible but does drastically slow down the farm. More frogs are always better in this. - I'm aware that portal & chain versions exist to sort the frogs. They're probably better designs and I'd love to consider what a v2 of this could look like in a single dimension farm. I try to avoid multi-dimensions because servers make using them much harder and MANY people play on servers and try to use my farms.
Don't think I've ever seen anyone do this much in 100 days... actually insane ...loved it as always
This works on bedrock as well, just replace the solid block next to the piston with redstone dust and put the lever on the piston itself
What I expected: Dream Speed run Music with manic building What I got: Very calm music and an actual tutorial But in all honestly, great tutorial dude! I'm always running out of food I'm definitely gonna have to use this at some point! And I love the idea of this series!
To the console players out there who are having trouble getting it up and going. The button sends a signal that is just to long to activate the farm. The solution is just to add a lever on the piston instead and quickly turn it on then off
Put this together, did a short idle, and had lots and lots of lights! Very good farm. Major frustration putting it together was just getting the froggies into place.
This continues to be the best hardcore series on YouTube
Video 3 of saying that this is the best series on YouTube.
As someone who is getting into JAVA/hardcore after years of bedrock I found this video 1.) entertaining 2.) VERY USEFUL
The farm is great and the video is well made. You provided some free tips, you were easy to understand, and the editing was really good. Well done, just subbed for more!
Rad this was utterly fantastic. The build is beyond beautiful, the progress in 100 days is bananas, and the editing perfectly tells the story. Not one single moment of drag at all. Comedic timing on point as always. So excited to see how this one evolves. Not only my favorite build, hands down, but also my favorite episode.
A few things to note: * MultiMC is having trouble with Curseforge lately and after several updates you'll see different modpack services like Modrinth now. They do plan to bring Curseforge back if they can. * Yes, MultiMC is safe. No, it's not the same as a cracked Minecraft. You need to OWN Minecraft to use this. * Yes, you can play with snapshots and experimental updates. Just toggle the box when creating a new instance. * Yes, it works with all your favourite mods like Sodium, Lithium, Starlight, etc. and it works with shaders.
Fantastic tutorial man. My only minor suggestion is that you use a different block for your temporary blocks, than the main building block you’re using. That way it’s clear which blocks to remove as we’re following along and our attention is divided. I’ve been using Iskall’s multi-furnace array with a carpet duper instead of zero-tick bamboo farms, and I think I’m gonna try this one now instead. Thanks for the inspiration.
Just WOW!!! The productivity on this world is mind blowing to me. Can’t wait to see what gets built next.
Known Issues - Hoppers aren't really fast enough to make this work for a long period of time as intended. Items do back up. - Starting the farm up is easier with 4 junk items in the hopper that can't be smelted so you only need a couple buckets per furnace at first. - Lava cauldrons take 19 minutes on avg to fill up, there aren't enough cauldrons to constantly smelt using this. I am working on fixes and a v2 but honestly, building an actual endgame friendly lava super smelter runs into MULTIPLE challenges and may not be viable at all. This does work and I use it in both of my hardcore worlds (Twitch & YT) but the issues do exist.
Rad from the future here. Let me give you a few tips & updates on this farm: * You should use a STONE button not a wooden one. Yes, they're different. Wood will burn your drops, or at least some of them. * If your lava is "backwards" on pressing the button simply remove the button, remove both buckets, add the buckets back then the button back and it should be fine. If you need a LOT more food than this, build my hoglin farm instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ij_ngJMfIcM
Finally i found a hardcore youtuber who isnt always in your face and makes giant flipping castle on day -2, keep up the good work elder!!
I just want you to know I clicked on a couple tutorials before this, and I chose yours because you don't talk to me like a toddler. I very much appreciate that, I find it very frustrating to be trying to learn something and have the teacher practically spoon feeding me.
Anyone here in 2026
I finished building the whole farm and almost forgot to subscribe and comment! This is absolutely amazing and I can't find a better farm. Thank you for the help :D.
This video is a year old and I can still see that you are replying to every comment, I thank you for actually caring for your audience
okay legit, I was just sitting here - and the idea of a "auto filling lava bucket furnace" popped into my head.I thought it was original, but knew there's no way no one else has thought of this. I said aloud "surely someone has done this on youtube..." and searched. your video came up, and I'm so glad it's for 1.19 too. I'm very pleased to see you went way broader with the idea! I'll give this a shot, thank you! the internet is truly an amazing place
I am just now looking at this launcher, and your video was the top result. Glad it is was your tutorial Rad. Thanks for the quick explanation of how this works. Look out world, shadows updating. 😂
Can confirm runs smoothly on Java 1.21.8 in a Basalt Deltas biome. Thank you so much for this easy to follow tutorial!
NOTES * This farm has been greatly enhanced and redone as a lava super smelter here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAT8BuFQs10 You should watch that instead. * Using levers on all 4 corner observers is much better than using a button to start & stop this version. This is fixed in the super smelter video. * You should not have dripstone above the cauldron in front of each observer. This can break the farm. This is fixed in the super smelter video. * Cauldrons take 19 minutes on average to fill, yes it's a slow process. If it's still not clear, you should watch the super smelter video instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAT8BuFQs10
Now I have all the lava I need to recreate the Nether in the overworld, because why not? (On another note, congrats on 300 subs dude! You're crushing it!)
Took me 6 minutes guess I'm just to slow
These are my notes on the Episode and as always thanks for watching! - All the schematics, item lists, etc. are over on Miben's video so check it out in the description. - The storage design was made for ease of building, not speed or any other requirement. It's NOT "modern storage tech" even though bits of it are. The unloaders are a feature that makes the storage APPEAR much faster than it is. I live stream. I do YT. Perception becomes reality. This is the right storage for me. - I built mooney mis v5 last world and when it broke I (basically) quit the world b/c I didn't want to, or know how to, fix it and even when I got help it didn't get fixed. Storage should ALWAYS suit the user. Check out https://radicalelder.info/ for updated schems, all social links and more!
A fuel source for a furnace array is always what gets me, but this is so simple! I think Im definitely going to give this design a try!
This helped me get a Minecraft Beta mod working, thank you!
I've seen this tutorial a few times, but I hadn't seen it w/ the hit box. That was a really nice touch!
Almost 100k
Ty, this was useful, I'm in a box server where lava isnt supposed to be obtained but an admin placed a bucket and I stole it without them knowing, so now I'ma have a bunch of lava once I get enough from a non auto farm lol
You r very under rated, ain't no way u r 36k, u deserve way more for ur caliber. I love ur thought process and in-depth explanations in ur vids. I'm actually planning to build this as my first ever auto sorting storage, and tbh, compared to all the absoutely ludicrous designs out there, this one seems more user-friendly to build. That's a cool yet compact design that u n ur fren had put up. Hope u wil make it far :D
Glad you like the Froglight addition
this should be am average benchmark. like "how many villagers does your computer handle?"
Thank you so much for this vid. My friend just updated their server and this vid helped me get set up and ready to play in less than 15mins (I know its a 5min video but I'm slow). 🙂
Love the videos man you are the best!!
My little bro calls this thing the Helter Smelter in his survival world. He used all the Soul items and Blackstone blocks to give it this really evil look.
Thanks for watching! Here are a few quick notes about the episode: - Schematics for both the mob farm ( https://radicalelder.info/shop/quad-mob-farm) and floating island gate ( https://radicalelder.info/shop/floating-island-portal-schematic) are now both available. There is also a block by block tutorial for the quad mob farm on my channel. - I stream over on https://www.twitch.tv/radicalelder/ and all my links are on https://radicalelder.info/ so check them out! - I still reply to EVERY (new) comment I get so if you have questions, ask away. I'll do that until it's just impossible.
“you do not have a working java set up yet ir it went missing” but i have the Minecraft launcher installed
Thanks for watching! Just a few notes about the episode: - I won't lag out my world when we drop the eggs. I've tested it multiple times in creative worlds. - Yes, I'm very fast with tool swapping. You're always welcome to come to the live stream ( https://www.twitch.tv/radicalelder) and have me show you. haha I had a couple comments so wanted to clarify. If you watch in .25 speed it's obvious what I did. - When I uploaded this video I had 5300 subscribers. THANK YOU for all the support on the series as it's grown! Check out https://radicalelder.info/ for updated schems, all social links and more!
But all it takes is 6 tnt to crash my potato
I know 800 mspt isn't playable btw. I passed 50 and just kept going for fun. lol
2000 days worth watching!
The Main Reason i needed this farm was to get leather and the fact that he did it so calmly in 5 mins and it works perfectly made this the best cow farm. You Earned a Sub And A Like
“The dispenser is probably the one block that’s the hardest to get” Observer: am I a joke to you?
"If you don't like it, it's OK to be wrong" merch comes out when? Also, "I'm tired, Goodbye." Instant classic. Aside from being the best hardcore series on youtube, it's a roadmap for how to become Minecraft self-sufficient....efficiently. You make this stuff accessible, and we builder types NEED to also know how to do this stuff. Keep showing us the guts of these farms, the internal pathways and mechanisms while you explain what's happening. I've never seen it done, or not like this--and it's beyond helpful, it's also wildly entertaining for those who love farms, efficiencies, and how things work. Thanks for all the effort, and thanks for continuing to make Minecraft more accessible.
cheers mate, helped me a ton :)
that pond with the coral looks amazing love seeing generation like that
I'm in there!!! so excited to see how fast you've grown in 3000 days <3
Hiding this video from my kids 😂
My computer was crying from watching your storage system, lol.
I had no idea you could collect lava in cauldrons. Guess I need to play mineccraft again
The fact that I am watching this series again (not JUST for the farm links and such) should tell all. This is a great series.
8k is WILD, this mad man must be planning to build 1:1 death star with Iron blocks or something
This world is amazing
i watch your videos and was looking for a tutorial like this. was suprised to recognize your voice lol
Whem your job is Minecraft:
I'll never get over just how mind blowing these farms are every time I rewatch this series!!
I subbed
